The final walk-through
We finish everything on your list, close the permit and hand you a one-year warranty in writing.
Our schedule guarantee
$150 off the bill for every day we run late
The finish date is in your contract. If we miss it for a reason that’s ours, $150 comes off the final payment for each working day.
Changes you ask for, late deliveries of materials you chose, and inspections the town moves all shift the date, and we agree the new one in writing.
About Hollow Creek
I started Hollow Creek in Honeoye Falls in 2004, after ten years framing houses for a builder in Victor. The name is the creek behind the house I grew up in, off Cheese Factory Road.
We finish about 25 projects a year. Each has one lead carpenter from demolition to the last walk-through, and our carpenters are on our own payroll. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC go to licensed trades we’ve worked with for over a decade.
You’ll have the schedule before we start, and an email from me every Friday until we’re done.

From homeowners we’ve built for
Screened porch and a new deck. The quote listed every board, and the final bill matched it to the dollar.
They built a two-story addition onto our 1880s farmhouse in Mendon. The siding and rooflines match, and the old floors run straight into the new rooms.
Our second project with Hollow Creek. Same lead carpenter, same Friday emails, and it finished two days early.
Our kitchen was finished on the Friday the contract said, eleven weeks after demolition. Nate’s Friday emails meant we never had to chase anyone.
Hall bath gutted and redone in three and a half weeks, and the tile work is perfect. One vanity arrived damaged and cost us a week, which they told us about the day it happened.

Questions about working with us
How long does a job like this take?
On site, a bathroom takes three to four weeks, a kitchen six to ten, and an addition three to five months. Design comes first and takes four to eight weeks.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We’re licensed wherever a town requires it, insured for $2 million with workers’ comp for every carpenter, and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm. You’ll get the certificates before you sign.
Do you handle permits?
Always. We prepare the drawings the town needs, pull the permit in our name, book every inspection and close the permit at the end.
How do payments work?
10% when you sign, then a payment at each stage, like framing or cabinets going in, due once that stage is done. The last 10% is due after the final walk-through.
Can I see similar work you have done?
Yes. We’ll send photos of recent projects like yours, and the numbers of three past clients who’ve agreed to take a call.
What’s the smallest job you take?
Most of ours start at about $10,000. For anything smaller, ask anyway, and if it isn’t one for us, we’ll pass on the name of a handyman we trust.
When should we call about next summer?
By January for a deck or a porch, and by early fall for a kitchen or an addition. Our build calendar fills about six months ahead.
